EnCEP Exam

The EnCEP Exam will be offered at the following time:

Guidance Software, Inc. recently announced the new EnCase® Certified eDiscovery Practitioner (EnCEP™) program. The program certifies private and public sector professionals in the use of Guidance Software's EnCase® eDiscovery software, as well as their proficiency in eDiscovery planning, project management and best practices.

EnCase eDiscovery is the leading eDiscovery solution for the search, collection, preservation, and processing of electronically stored information (ESI). Earning the EnCEP certification signifies that a practitioner is skilled in the application of the solution to manage and successfully complete all sizes of eDiscovery matters in accordance with the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.

1. This year we will be offering the new EnCase® Certified eDiscovery Practitioner (EnCEP™) test to qualified CEIC attendees at no cost.


2. Anyone interested in taking the EnCEP test at CEIC must fill out an application and return it to the Certification Coordinator via fax, email, or mail by April 27th, 2010. In addition, if you choose to fax or email your application you must also mail the hard copy to the Certification Coordinator. Please check the box at the top of the first page of the application pertaining to CEIC. If the box is not checked, you will not be registered to take the test.
   
   
   • All requirements MUST be met prior to attending CEIC. A list of requirements is available at:

   • Only those who have registered prior to April 27th, 2010 will be allowed to take the test. There will be no registering at CEIC.

3. Once your application has been received and we have verified that all qualifications have been met, you will receive a confirmation email with further instructions for the testing session. There is no cost to take the EnCEP test at CEIC.
   
   
4. Those who have previously signed up for the EnCEP program and are interested in taking the Phase I test while attending CEIC, will need to contact the Certification Coordinator via email so that they may be put on the list.
   
   
5. Be aware that the EnCEP process includes two tests.  Once you start the EnCEP process, you have committed to both tests.
   
   
6. Registration for the EnCEP test DOES NOT include enrollment in the EnCEP Prep Workshop. The Prep Workshop is a separate lab session; attendees who want to take this course should select it during CEIC session enrollment. The EnCEP Prep Workshop fills up fast, so register early to ensure a seat.
